An HSS14x6x1/2 hollow structural section column bears on a 3/4 inch by 16 inch by 1'-4" A36 steel baseplate over a 1 inch grout layer. The baseplate is anchored to a concrete footing using three-quarter inch diameter ASTM F1554-55 anchor rods with a 1'-9" embedment length, secured with heavy hex nuts and washers. A concrete walk is detailed to pour over the footing.
