A new wide flange beam is supported on top of a concrete masonry unit wall inside an eight-inch wide notch. A one-inch maximum layer of non-shrink grout sits below the beam bearing plate. Four five-eighths-inch diameter adhesive anchors with five-and-five-eighths-inch embeds secure the assembly. Full depth stiffeners are placed at equal spacings per the typical detail.
