Fire sprinkler heads are positioned between one to six inches below the structural members, with a maximum vertical distance of twenty-two inches to the underside of the concrete-filled metal deck. The horizontal spacing between sprinkler heads ranges from three feet to seven and one-half feet under obstructed construction conditions.
