An incoming fire main connects to the valve body of a Firelock alarm check valve, which feeds upward to the sprinkler distribution piping. A control valve equipped with a tamper switch is installed on the main upstream of the check valve. Water supply pressure and system pressure gauges monitor pressures across the assembly. A retard chamber and alarm pressure switch connect to the valve body to prevent false alarms from pressure surges. A system and test drain line ties into the assembly for maintenance and testing.
