An upright sprinkler head connects to a threaded sprinkler pipe positioned below an overhead structural deck. A pipe hanger supports the pipe and is suspended by a three-eighths-inch all-thread rod anchored to the deck above. A maximum twelve-inch vertical clearance dimension is maintained between the sprinkler head and the deck structure.
