The existing concrete slab on grade is chipped back to expose the existing slab reinforcement for a specified lap length. A new concrete slab on grade is poured per plan over a vapor barrier, bearing on drain rock backfill over the existing ramp. The existing concrete slab on grade ramp is demolished as required to accommodate the new construction.
