An existing beam rests upon a one-half inch by six-inch by one-foot cap plate and bearing plate assembly, with shims providing level adjustment and quarter-inch fillet welds securing the plates on three sides. A continuous new L6x6x5/16 angle connects to the slab above using five-eighths-inch anchors at twelve inches on center with three and one-eighth-inch minimum effective embedment, placed specifically above the deck flutes. A new channel profile fastens to the supporting vertical element using three-eighths-inch anchors at twenty-four inches on center with two-inch minimum effective embedment.
