A fire protection lateral sway brace assembly connects a sprinkler pipe to an overhead structural steel I-beam. The assembly utilizes a Tolco Fig. 828 universal sway brace attachment clamped to the I-beam flange, connected via a swivel sway brace fitting to a forty-five to ninety degree pipe brace. The pipe is secured at the lower end using a Tolco Fig. 1001 sway brace attachment. Lateral bracing is installed in accordance with NFPA 13-2016 section 9.3.5.5.
