An L3x2x3/16 angle with long legs vertical is attached to the top flange of a structural steel beam. A top flange plate spans across the beam flange and is secured with bolts. The deck is cut around the top flange plate. Fillet welds of 3/8 inch size are applied at 12 inches on center, with a 3 inch minimum at each end.
