A metal sleeve penetrates through a masonry, concrete, or stud and metal panel wall framing assembly. The five-inch annular space is packed with loose glass fiber and caulked on both sides. Escutcheons or angled closure strips are provided where penetrations are exposed to view. This assembly is typical at penetrations through sound walls, equipment room walls, and fire walls.
