A number four-zero copper ground cable connects via exothermic weld to the structural steel plate at the base of the column. A separate exothermic weld ties the number four-zero bare copper ground cable into the reinforcing bar within the concrete column footing. A three-quarter-inch by ten-foot ground rod installed in the ground loop integrates with the underground copper cable network. Grounding locations are coordinated with the electrical plan.
