The motor feeder and motor lead are joined using a compression ring lug to ensure a secure electrical connection. The assembly is enclosed within a cross-linked heat-shrinkable Raychem polyolefin cap to provide insulation and environmental protection. Heat-activated mastic sealant is applied at the base of the cap for moisture resistance, specifically required for use in wet locations.
