A rigid electrical conduit penetrates the roof assembly and must be securely fastened to the building structure below the roof deck. A pipe boot with roofing counter-flashings and mastic seal provides primary weatherproofing at the roof surface. A storm collar fits tightly around the conduit above a bead of silicon sealant to shed water away from the penetration.
