The existing concrete wall surface is roughened to a quarter-inch amplitude before installing new shotcrete and reinforcing. Number four adhesive dowels are spaced at twelve inches on center with a twelve-inch minimum embedment depth and one and three-quarter inch clear cover typically. Number six adhesive dowels match the spacing of the wall horizontal reinforcing with a ten-inch minimum embedment. Hooked adhesive dowels provide additional anchorage per typical details.
