A wide-flange beam is supported by an HSS8x6x3/8 stub member welded to an underlying HSS beam sized per plan. A three-eighths-inch cap plate is welded to the top of the stub member with five-sixteenths-inch fillet welds on top and bottom. An additional wide-flange beam is positioned beyond per plan.
