A quarter-inch thick copper ground bar is mounted at twenty inches above the finished floor on one-inch Bakelite standoff insulators. The two-inch wide bar features a typical layout of three-eighths inch holes spaced at twelve inches on center. A number two American Wire Gauge or as shown copper tinned bare conductor extends from the ground bus on the level below or from the main service switchboard. Exothermically welded connections join the conductor to the grounding system.
