A beam-to-beam connection for a skewed member where member A is less than or equal to member B. Weld preparation and sizing requirements vary depending on the root opening and skew angle. For root openings up to three-sixteenths of an inch, specific fillet and root weld configurations apply. When root openings exceed three-sixteenths of an inch and the angle is greater than thirty degrees, partial-joint-penetration welds with plate preparation are specified. Bolt clearance adjustments up to a four-inch maximum are detailed for intersecting members.
