An overhead door frame is wired with a three-quarter-inch conduit running to the overhead door motor, which requires a thermal switch or motor starter matched to the motor voltage and horsepower. A half-inch conduit serves the door frame, and another half-inch conduit connects to an open, closed, and stop control station mounted on the jamb. Floor junction boxes are mounted at eighteen inches above finished floor for the photo-electric eye sensors. All rough-in requirements must be coordinated with the overhead door supplier installation drawings.
