An equipment rack backbox is recessed within wood framing backed by two-by-six internal wall backing. A main equipment rack mounts to the backbox with a hinged door and louvered ventilation panels. Low-voltage conduits connect into the top and bottom of the assembly utilizing PVC connector assemblies restricted to audio-visual rack installations only.
