A grounding pigtail is provided within the column and bonded to the reinforcing steel inside the reinforced concrete column. A buried grounding conductor connects to the system via an exothermic weld per the manufacturer's instructions for buried connections. The installation interfaces with the building concrete column and adjacent floor slab.
