An exterior reinforced concrete equipment pad bears on twelve inches of engineered fill over undisturbed earth or compacted subgrade. The eight-inch thick concrete slab is reinforced with number six rebar spaced twelve inches on center each way with two inches of clear cover and wire ties at all rebar crossings. All four sides feature a three-quarter-inch chamfer and extend six inches beyond the footprint of the electrical equipment. A Ufer ground is provided for the pad.
