A three-quarter inch by ten-foot long copper-clad steel ground rod is driven into the earth and centered within a precast eight-and-three-quarter inch diameter concrete box. A Burndy type GRC34 ground rod clamp connects the grounding conductor to the rod near the top. A Burndy type GP6429 connector secures a continuous loop of ground conductors. The concrete box is sealed at grade with a cast iron cover labeled "GROUND" in half-inch engraved letters.
