A four-inch square junction box is mounted directly to the structure above the lay-in ceiling and contains two Category 6A cables terminated to a data jack faceplate. A one-inch conduit or J-hooks route cabling to the cable tray above accessible lay-in ceilings. Category 6A patch cables provided by the contractor connect the junction box to the owner-supplied wireless access point. When the wireless access point is installed in a hard lid ceiling, the junction box must be relocated to an accessible location as close to the access point as possible and labeled WAP.
