This assembly supports conduits or cable trays using a horizontal preformed metal channel (B-Line B22SH or equal) suspended by one-half inch diameter threaded rods. The rods attach to the overhead purlin or beam using beam clamps and are secured to the channel with nuts, lock washers, and one-and-five-eighths inch square washers. A seismic sway brace is installed at a forty-five degree angle and spaced at twenty feet on center to provide lateral stability. The connection detail highlights the use of galvanized one-half inch all-thread rod, nuts, lock washers, and fender washers to secure the trapeze channel. A preformed metal channel (B-Line B11 or equal) is mounted to the underside of the structural steel to facilitate the rod and brace attachments.
