This pendant mounted exit sign hangs from a structural ceiling via a power pendant stem attached to a four-inch junction box at the deck above. A steel back box with a finished canopy housing sits at an elevation of plus nine feet six inches at the bottom of the stem. A ridge sway brace, such as Unistrut or equivalent, is required for stems over eighteen inches long and connects to the stem using a U-bolt connection. The upper end of the sway brace is anchored to the structural ceiling with an expansion anchor bolt and a bolted connection. The finished stem length is provided as required to mount lighting fixtures and horn strobes.
