This trench section details a direct bury raceway installation within an existing asphalt pavement area. The conduit rests on bedding material within a trench backfilled and compacted to ninety-five percent density. A warning marker tape is laid for the entire length twelve inches above the raceway. The pavement restoration consists of six inches of base course material, three inches of asphalt concrete binder course, and two inches of asphalt concrete wearing course. Sawcuts and tack coats are applied to the existing base course edges, with existing pavement materials and sections subject to variation.
