A cast-in-place concrete equipment base or pad is supported by prepared base material. The concrete is specified as Class A or Class B, reinforced with number five reinforcing bars spaced at twelve inches each way with two inches of concrete clearance. A cast-in sump is integrated into the pad, requiring a minimum two-foot-zero-inch depth and sloped slab surfaces directed toward the drainage area. The sub-base requires a minimum six-inch depth of compacted base material.
