Electrical conduit crosses a wall expansion seismic joint using a minimum eighty-four inch length of flexible conduit to accommodate movement. A typical metallic sleeve with a maximum two-inch diameter penetrates the wall, sealed with an Underwriters Laboratories listed sealant to maintain the wall rating. Typical junction boxes are positioned on either side of the wall with a twenty-four inch minimum spacing. The inner radius of the flexible cable must be at least seven times the diameter of the enclosed cable.
