Switch location is determined by the width of the sidelight adjacent to the metal door frame. For sidelights measuring less than two feet, the electrical switch is positioned on the wall beyond the sidelight. For sidelights measuring greater than two feet, the electrical switch is positioned on the wall adjacent to the primary door leaf.
