An eight-inch by eight-inch by six-inch square junction box is mounted above the door within the ceiling space on the secure side. A door latch power supply receives one hundred twenty-volt emergency power and connects to the junction box. A surface-mounted proximity card reader is positioned on the unsecure side at forty-two inches above finished floor. Three-quarter-inch conduits run from the junction box to the electric strike, door contact switch, card reader, and door controller cabinet.
