A 1/4" thick copper ground bar is mounted at 20 inches above the finished floor using 2-1/2" bakelite standoff insulators. A 500 MCM conductor from the ground well connects to the bar via exothermically welded connections. Two-hole compression-type connectors attach conductors to the bar, which features typical 3/8" mounting holes spaced across the plate.
