Pedestrian light poles are anchored to cast-in-place concrete footings using manufacturer-specified anchor bolts embedded with conduit and conductors. The galvanized base plate is secured with galvanized bolts and washers, and protected by a base canopy finished to match the pole. A handhole with non-ferrous tamper-proof screws is provided on the shaft. The surrounding conditions differentiate between planting areas and paved surfaces with a chamfered concrete edge.
