An underslab conduit hanger is suspended from a concrete floor slab using a threaded rod attached to a steel channel that spans two rebar reinforcements. The channel is wired to the rebar to maintain its position during the concrete pour. The non-metallic threaded rod extends down into a trench surrounded by a four-inch minimum pea gravel course, non-biodegradable styrofoam, and a filter fabric to prevent gravel infiltration. A non-metallic conduit saddle secures the PVC conduit, resting upon a four-inch minimum sand bedding below a vapor barrier membrane.
