A light pole with a luminaire head is secured to a concrete base using anchor bolts installed by the electrical contractor. The two-foot diameter by seven-foot long concrete base is buried twenty-four inches minimum below grade in a parking island, with an exposed portion featuring a rubbed finish or supplied as a precast concrete unit. Four number five vertical rebar and number three ties at twelve inches on center reinforce the foundation. Electrical conduits enter the base and are sized per the site electrical plan.
