A seventy-two-inch tall electric vehicle charger bollard is supported by a concrete pier foundation twenty-four inches deep and fourteen inches wide, reinforced with three number four vertical steel bars and number three ties spaced at eight inches on center, with three additional ties concentrated in the top six inches of the pier. A PVC schedule forty conduit enters the pier for electrical service, sized per the drawings. The bollard is secured with anchors specified by the EV charger manufacturer at the top surface adjacent to the exterior slab or grade. The design assumes a two-hundred pound point load at the top of the charger, and a note designates that the civil engineer must verify the base detail.
