A down conductor runs through a one-inch polyvinyl chloride conduit concealed within the wall construction, with conduit ends sealed permanently watertight. A rebar bonding clamp secures the down conductor to the vertical reinforcing steel inside the concrete wall. Below the approximate finished grade, the down conductor transitions to copper cable, joined to the main ground loop conductor via exothermic welds. Additional copper cable extends from the connection point to the ground rod.
