A forty-two inch tall light bollard is anchored to a ten inch diameter concrete pier utilizing anchor bolts provided by the manufacturer. The concrete pier features a compressive strength of five thousand psi with Type I/II cement, reinforced with three number four vertical bars and number three ties spaced at eight inches on center, along with three ties in the top six inches. A PVC schedule forty conduit passes through the pier for electrical supply, sized per drawings. A copper-clad ground rod is connected via an exothermic weld connection near the base. The design assumes a two-hundred pound point load at the top of the bollard, and exterior slab or grade surrounds the upper pier.
