Electrical device mounting heights comply with Americans with Disabilities Act standards. A thermostat is positioned at a maximum reach height of 48 inches above the floor, adjacent to a fire alarm pull station and light switch. An ADA door operator button is mounted at 34 inches above the floor. Electrical wall outlets and telephone or data wall outlets are installed at a minimum height of 18 inches above the floor. A fire alarm strobe or notification appliance is mounted at a minimum of 6 inches below the ceiling, with the top of the device at a minimum of 80 inches above the floor.
