A surface mounted light fixture attaches to a gypsum board ceiling with four number ten by two inch metal screws per fixture. Ceiling framing consists of cold-formed steel studs spaced twenty-four inches on center. Three number ten by three inch metal screws connect three-and-five-eighths-inch twenty-gauge steel stud backing at each end of the fixture. Two number ten by two-and-one-half-inch metal screws secure the framing at each end of the fixture.
