A multi-plex pedestal floor box is surface-mounted on a floor covering above a concrete slab. The slab requires a core-drilled opening sized according to manufacturer recommendations. Fire-rated sealant is installed around the core penetration to maintain assembly ratings. Side and front-facing faceplates house the electrical and data devices.
