A bare copper cable acts as the grounding electrode conductor, exothermically welded to reinforcing bars within the footing at each end. A grounding conductor runs from the footing through a PVC conduit up into a housekeeping pad, connecting to the ground bus bar inside the main service board located above. The footing and wall are constructed per structural plans, positioned below finished grade.
