An eight-by-eight-by-six-inch square junction box is mounted above the door in the ceiling space of the secure side, receiving a one-hundred-twenty-volt emergency power connection and routing to a door latch power supply. Three-quarter-inch conduits run from the junction box to a power transfer at the door hinge and to a surface-mounted proximity card reader on the unsecure side set at forty-two inches above finished floor. An additional one-inch conduit extends from the junction box to the door controller cabinet. The electric fire exit hardware on the exterior side connects directly into the low-voltage power transfer loop.
