The exit sign fixture secures to an integral galvanized lipped steel mounting channel supported by the architectural ceiling grid. Hanger wires and wire ties pass through the channel and the ceiling cross beam to attach the mounting channel to the structure above. A junction box mounts to the channel using one-quarter inch screws, locking square washers, and nuts. Power supplies to the fixture via a flexible conduit whip from the junction box, limited to a maximum length of six feet.
