Electrical outlet box installations within single stud and double stud partitions requiring sound isolation. Outlet boxes must maintain a twenty-four-inch minimum separation distance when installed on opposite sides of a stud cavity, and back-to-back outlet box placement is strictly prohibited. Continuous acoustical sealant surrounds the entire perimeter of each outlet box, and resilient box pads are installed behind the boxes to maintain acoustic performance. For double stud partitions, no contact is permitted between the independent stud rows, and separate conduits must feed outlet boxes on opposing sides.
