An existing freestanding switchboard is secured to an existing concrete floor slab with a new 3 inches by 4 inches by 1/4 inch by 8 inches steel angle. The angle is welded to the base of the switchboard and finished with paint matching the switchboard color. Two new 1/2 inch by 6 inches epoxy anchors fasten the angle bracket into the 5 inches minimum concrete slab. Approved anchor systems include Hilti HVA, Hilti HIT, or Ramset Epcon.
