A twenty-foot security reactive lighting pole anchors to a cast-in-place concrete foundation pier. The foundation is poured using three thousand psi concrete, reinforced with number four rebar loops at twelve inches on center, and includes a three-quarter-inch by ten-foot ground rod connected via an exothermic weld to the reinforcing steel. Adjacent underground pull boxes measuring twenty-four inches wide by twenty-four inches long by twelve inches deep with cast-iron lids house incoming power and data conduits routed into the foundation. The pole assembly features a transformer in a NEMA enclosure, power and data handholes, and anchor bolts provided by the pole manufacturer with a light sandblasted exposed portion at the finished grade.
