An electrical junction box measuring six inches by six inches by four inches is mounted above the door in the ceiling space on the secure side. A three-quarter-inch conduit connects the access control user device on the unsecure side to the junction box, utilizing an electrical power transfer hinge or electric power transfer device coordinated with the manufacturer. A power supply and a fire alarm control module for fire-rated doors are connected to the junction box with a one-inch conduit extending to an accessible ceiling space or local communications room. A one-hundred-twenty-volt power supply is provided as required.
