An electrical outlet box is installed within a steel stud wall faced with one-hour fire-rated gypsum wall board. Conduit enters the box per plan from the wall cavity above. Moldable fire barrier putty wraps the outlet box to maintain the fire rating of the wall assembly. A wall plate finishes the face of the penetration.
