An exterior light pole is anchored to a reinforced concrete foundation extending six feet below finish grade. The two-foot diameter concrete base is reinforced with six number five vertical rebar anchor bolts and number four horizontal ties spaced at twelve inches on center, reduced to three inches on center near the top of the base. An inline waterproof fuse holder with a breakaway receptacle and fuse is housed inside the pole behind a gasketed handhole with a reinforced frame and cover. Grounding connections include an internal grounding lug and a grounding rod with a two-foot minimum burial depth below grade. PVC schedule forty conduits enter the base for electrical feed, and spare conduits at dead end poles are capped. The entire area beneath the base plate is packed with grout, and a base cover conceals the anchor plate connection.
