An electrical conduit or pipe penetrates a fire-rated wall or floor assembly with an annular space sealed for a two-hour fire rating. The penetration is packed in the center two-thirds with stuffed ceramic fiber insulation and finished at the surface with a one-half-inch depth of Hilti FS-ONE intumescent firestop sealant. All installations conform to Hilti UL System No. CAJ1149 to maintain smoke-tight fire barrier integrity matching the surrounding construction.
